The adult films on DVD, video and the Internet sales are hurting by easy video sharing websites that give away their explicit content easily and for free. Even when there are no full length features to offer the snippets and film clips are enough to satisfy lots of lusty men and women who want a quick fix.

But there are those that are in the business of pleasure and are taking this very seriously. The rampant piracy and tons of free content is hard to deal with for adult film studio heads such as Vivid owner Steven Hirsch. "This industry is going to have to get together and look at these guys that are putting out the stuff for free... so they are going to have to get in line and start paying for it," Mr. Hirsch said. "If that doesn't happen and we see all of this free content out there, people are not going to be able to afford to produce movies anymore."
